Interested in Joining Alpha Phi?

Recruitment is Your Key!

Alpha Phi at UCM is a strong sisterhood of bright and talented women! New Members are the lifeblood of Alpha Phi. Through the mutual selection process called "recruitment" approximately 18 lucky girls join Alpha Phi each fall. Our New Members will represent Alpha Phi on the UCM campus for four years and will become a part of an international network of outstanding women. These New Members exemplify the ideals on which our sorority was founded over 135 years ago.

Your first step toward joining Alpha Phi -- or any sorority on the UCM campus -- is signing up for recruitment. Formal Recruitment takes place in the fall of each year. You can register for recruitment with the University Panhellenic Council online beginning the summer of each year.

In addition, from time to time, sororities have the opportunity to add to their membership throughout the year by participating in a process called Continuous Open Recruitment (COR). If you miss Formal recruitment in the fall there is always the option of joining through COR, which starts right after the Formal Recruitment week ends. If you are interested in learning more about sorority membership, we encourage you to contact Kinsey Feldman, our VP of Recruitment at or contact Panhellenic to find out how you can participate in COR.
