Spring Welcome Letter from President Katie Fisher

katieAlpha Phi is an important part of my life and I am proud to represent the Theta Lambda Chapter at the University of Central Missouri.  In Alpha Phi, I found an organization that values service, intellectual development, leadership, and sisterhood. I have worked to raise money for a foundation that provides care and assistance to hundreds of women every day. I have found help and encouragement when I was struggling in my classes and wanted to give up. I have developed leadership and management skills that will continue to benefit me even after graduation. Most importantly, I have gained a group of sisters that is with me through it all.

Having been in Alpha Phi for five semesters, I feel that the true meaning behind Alpha Phi is the women of whom it consists. These women are each distinctly different. However, when they come together as part of an Alpha Phi sisterhood, the combination cannot be replicated or replaced. Each sister carries with them the values of Alpha Phi and cherishes their sisters above all.

The bonds and the friendships I have with my sisters are some that I know will never be broken or replaced. With them I have had the opportunity to experience a variety of things that have truly made my college experience whole. I will never forget the memories I’ve made in Alpha Phi or the sisters that have made them worthwhile. I am honored and pleased to be a part of this Alpha Phi sisterhood.

AOE,
Katie Fisher
Chapter President

kmarshHello All!

My name is Kelly Marshall and I am proud to represent the Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi at the University of Central Missouri as the 2009 Chapter President! I feel extremely honored to have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of officers and women this year. I know we are going to have a fantastic year together!

This semester we have several new and exciting events coming up, which include themed date parties, a sisterhood retreat, homecoming, and our Red Dress Gala. Alpha Phi takes great pride in supporting out philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports cardiac care for women. We are hosting the Red Dress Gala, Dodge ball tournament, and Alpha Traz this year in support of this great cause.

Alpha Phi at Central is an amazing sisterhood that creates lasting bonds. We always have fun together and are there to support one another. Our house is always full of girls having a good time, studying, or preparing for another successful Greek Week and Homecoming. I love each and every one of my sisters and I am so thankful for the lasting friendships I have made throughout my time in Alpha Phi.

We are all ready for recruitment and for the eventful fall semester ahead! I cannot wait to meet the next generation of Alpha Phis and welcome them into our home!

AOE and Mine,
Kelly Marshall
-Chapter President
